Brian Nelson:

“Zoloft” There is something about the weather

Located outside of the southern entrance of the central walkway, this sculpture, welded and fabricated mild steel stands approximately 6.5 feet long by 3 feet high. The colors of the sculpture are the same colors the capsules come in. The artist, Brian Nelson, is a KCC alum.

Brian Nelson:

"16 Years", Paroxetine

The sculpture sits in the Davidson Building’s beautiful courtyard. Welded and fabricated mild steel and stands at 32 inches tall, 78 inches wide, and 34 inches deep. Paroxetine is used to treat major depression. The artist, Brian Nelson, is a KCC alum.

Vertical Tree Growth

 46-inch by 46-inch by 46-inch 

This sculpture is located between the Library and the Ohm Information Technology Center. The work, consists of weather-sealed wood and looks as if a tree growing out of the ground.

Digital Physical Mask 

42”h x 42”w x 24”d 

This sculpture is located outside the entrance to the Roll Building. The work consists of a digitally made mask showing two sides, made of sealed and painted wood with steel.

To Hope

This sculpture is located outside the entrance to the Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center. The painted steel work is 7 feet tall, 9 feet wide and 4 feet deep.

Eye to Eye 

Outside the Miller Physical Education Building this rusted mild steel sculpture stands at the height of 9 feet. Two people adjusted, looking thru the holes at each other, will see an eye and that “to see someone else’s point of view you need to alter how you stand.”

Cool Struttin’ 

This sculpture is located in the reflecting pools near the Learning Resource Center. The edges of this Aluminum sculpture have been rounded so they are not sharp. The work is approximately 80 inches high x 64 inches in diameter and secured by piling many river rocks in the base.

Coupling Tree 

This metal sculpture stands between Ohm and the Schwarz building. This tree stands at 119 inches high, 51 inches wide, and 44 inches deep. The sculptures various branches and bends come together as if it were coupling.

Earth 

This metal sculpture sits in front of the C Building entrance, stand-ing at 106 inches high, 66 inches wide, and 26 inches deep. The sculpture features various references to multiple lifeforms.
